DU not join integrated admission test system

Dhaka University is not participating in the admission test process of the public universities of the country.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Academic Council (Academic Council) chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Monday (February 24th). Earlier on Wednesday, BUET and Chittagong University on Thursday decided not to go for the UGC Central Examination. Jahangirnagar and Rajshahi University are also reluctant to take the admission test. DU not join integrated admission test.

Currently there are 46 public universities operating in the country. However, the 39 of universities that admit students in the first year of graduation (honors). To reduce students’ suffering and financial costs, the UGC decided to take admission tests on a comprehensive or bunch basis after seven agricultural universities.

Three of them have already decided not to officially pass the central exam.

The UGC has said that students will be admitted in the coming academic year with the rest of the universities except those who do not appear in the central admission test.
